خَلَقَ الْإِنْسَانَ مِنْ عَلَقٍ
He created mankind from the Clinging Clot.
All creatures are created from a single soul in pairs by mingling the sperm of the Male and the ovum of the Female. The peculiarity of mankind from other creatures is that he is given intelligence to select good and bad. See explanation 21:10; 22:5; 32:7-9 and 75:38.
